Blew the fuse!

Conducting the high voltage power supply test, when I connected ac power there was a hum for a few seconds but it stopped before I could unplug.
I read very low voltage, ~10v, at terms 10, 14, 15,
Checking everything over, I dislodged a length of resistor or capacitor lead. I didn't see where exactly it came from. Everything else seems correct and solid.
I tried to conduct the test again but measured zero. I checked the fuse and it is blown. Would a short from that metal scrap blow the fuse or should I be looking for something else?
I'll be shopping for a fuse tomorrow but have a question. The manual says its a 1.5 amp fuse but it is actually a 2 amp. What should I be looking for? Looks like a slow blow, correct?

Yes, a short from a metal scrap will pop a fuse. Any 20mm fuse that's around 1.5A-3A is going to work well in a Kaiju, though I might lean more toward 1.5A if you are in a 220-240V mains country.

Do be aware that the most common causes for blowing a fuse at this stage would be things like a backwards diode or capacitor, so be extra certain that they are all oriented correctly!

OK, I got a new fuse in. Double checked everything from the ground buss check. Checked for any more debris. Checked orientation of the rectifiers and capacitors. Everything looks good. Some of my solder joints are messy, but its all solid, nothing is bridged.
When I touched my probe to terminal 10 there was a loud crack and bright arc. Yikes! I unplugged and after it sat for a while, triple checked everything. I still do not ee an issue...
Is there anything in particular that the violent arc at term 10 would seem to be indicating?
My build has passed all the previous tests with no issues, so I assume the problem must be in the high voltage power supply or output tube wiring steps.

Can you post some pictures of your meter and where you have the probes plugged in? Do you have the red probe plugged into a terminal with an "A" next to it? That would cause a loud crack and blow your fuse...

You are correct Paul, I had the red probe connected wrong, duh.
Everything tests great now.
