Manual correction

Hi.
I believe the inputs are mixed up on page 23.
Viewed from atop, the left inputs are 1, the right inputs are 2, I believe.
For most not such a big deal, but I wanted to make a make a plate similar to the
identification plate for the two inputs.

The most important thing is that the switch points to the input you are using while you're using the Mainline, otherwise it will feel backwards.

The labeling assignments are different between the layout and the identification plate, but this ends up being arbitrary once the amplifier is finished.

I agree.
It's just that I want to add the following plate under the inputs, and it does matter that the markings aren't the wrong way around.

Yes, I understand.
And when wiring the inputs( starting page 39), not to pay attention to how inputs 1 and 2 are labelled on page 23.  (Sorry for being so obscure earlier)

You should wire the inputs as instructed in the manual.  If you reverse these connections, then the toggle switch lever will appear to operate backwards.

Hi again.
I don't mean to be annoying.
I am saying the diagram on page 23 must be wrong, the text should be swapped like indicated on this illustration.

Edit: On all following pictures input 1 is referred to as input 2. I added a screenshot to illustrate:

I am following what Geir is saying here. The terminal identification page labels the jacks differently from how they are called out in the manual. Since it is consistent in the manual, it ends up working for any builder that looks at the pictures as they build (I would estimate that to be the vast majority of builders (and, for that matter, most builders seem to not label their terminals (which is my pet theory as to why no one has brought this up before))). It will be fixed in the next version of the manual and continuing to fuss about it is not a great use of anyone's time.

No worries. I figured it out as soon as I looked at the manual. I still have no idea how I managed to screw that one up. When we make the manuals, we have a hand written terminal ID page that we refer to as we make the manual. Somehow I flubbed it on the way to the final version. It'll be an easy fix (aka the kinds of fixes I like...), so I do appreciate you letting us know about it.
