Moreplay screws?

I am on page 20 of the instructions and have we used 14 of 16 4-40 x 3/8” supplied screws, so leaves two unused screws.  The Pasts List confirms the total 16 4-40 x 3/8” screws.

Reviewing "Terminal Identification" page 14 this is the correct count. Maybe the two extra screws are meant for the unused holes on each side of the Volume pot. 

So, am I missing something? Pending this, I am ready to proceed with the next steps.

* A note, I really struggled putting the IEC Power Entry in place.  To force it in place I rested the chassis on two 2x4s and put a small board over the Power entry. Next, I stepped down on it to get it to "snap" in place. It is fine, but certainly a struggle.  Has anyone else mentioned this?

In spite of the precision of CNC cut panels there can still be a little tolerance variation of both the panel holes and the IEC inlet dimensions. Once in a while the situation you experienced crops up. I would occasionally use a file to open up the hole in the panel just a bit.

It makes sense to enlarge the IEC inlet but my concern was chipping the paint finish. Anyway, i finished the kit and verified that both inputs and outputs sound fine.

Kind of testing differnet tubes as i have a pile of 6V6s and 6K6s.  At my age i don't know if my ears will know the quality difference (Old Rock doesn't care) so kind of judging by any feedback noise. 

Tomorrow I'll experiment with a pair of 6K6s.  Thanks.
