I'm using an Audio Technica 150-MLX cartridge with my Seduction. It sounds great. However, I recently read that there's a slight bulge in the upper frequencies that can be tamed by "by getting the capacitance as low as possible and dropping the impedance from 47k to 33k. "

What would that entail?

Sam,

The impedance resistors are mounted on the input RCA jacks.  They are 47.5k Ohms.  Change those to 33k Ohms and that is done.  The Seduction has a pretty low capacitance it self.  PB or PJ might have some suggestions to lower it.

Also, using a low capacitance cable between your table and the Seduction would be the greatest improvement you can make of the total capacitance.  PM me.

I'm fond of Dale/Vishay RN55 series of resistors.  Power isn't a factor.  The signal is a very low voltage and there is no current drawn.

So I tried this, and it was no good. There was no taming of the upper frequencies. If anything it heightened them. The sound was thinner, more fragile, whispy even.

So I put the stock resistors back in. Damn, this amp sounds sooooo good!! I can't imagine how the Eros sounds. I am so happy with it.
