Introducing the Bottlehead Paradyne 805A Monoblocks

You're gonna like 'em. Try biamping the Jagers with either the Monamours or a Kaiju on the tweeters and the Paradynes on the woofers.
Hi Doc,
That is a good idea, I will try it.

Hope you motorcycle speed trials are going good and you are enjoying being "former president for life"

OK folks, dreaming here. If I am going to get a set of Paradynes, everything needs to fit on this console. the area is about 50 inches by 19 inches available for the preamps/amps. It could work if I turn the amps and the BeePre2 sideways, or put the amps on top of the speakers. Any comments or advice?

Each Paradyne is the same footprint as a BeePre, so if you can fit the BeePre on sideways then you can fit the Paradynes on sideways, too.

I wouldn’t put them on top of your speakers, though. I haven’t tested it for microphonics (mine just showed up yesterday from Bottleheadquarters since I’m a fussy guy and insisted on walnut bases) but I typically try to keep the amp and speaker separate.

I wanted to mention something quickly, too: the response to Paradyne has been really incredible and we’re so grateful for everyone’s orders.

The response has been so great, in fact, that we blew through our wood bases faster than expected. Eric needs to prep another round, but he’s headed this way for Axpona this weekend. That means a couple Paradyne orders that have been placed will ship early next week. I’ll reach out to anyone whose Paradyne orders won’t ship before they leave for Chicago.

We really appreciate the orders, and we can’t wait for you all to get these in your hands.

Your astrophotography always blows my mind. It took a while to get into the retirement groove, but we are there. How cool to be able to put the same energy we put into the business into just fooling around! The house is finally getting fixed up after years of minimal maintenance (new paint job in progress below), one race bike is completely apart getting a ground up rebuild after fours seasons on the salt, and we walk a couple of miles every day around our lovely little town. Today is the best weather of the year so far, so the street bike (KTM 1290 Super Duke GT, retirement present to myself) will get some exercise.

I've been keeping pics of my home setup off the radar until the Paradyne was released. The gear from the old studio now resides in our home theater. Jagers as mains, with a custom active crossover splitting signal to a limited edition Kaiju on top and the Paradyne functional prototypes on the woofers. Talk to Jameson and PB about that crossover, they own it now. The rest of the 7.2 surround setup is mostly some old Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers and sub along with an old Blumenstein Dungeness sub running off a Denon receiver and an Apple TV. On screen is me on my Aprilia race bike at Bonneville, nearly crapping my leathers as I went off course and into the crunchies at 145 last year.

Hi Lee

Nice to be posting again and having something new to build. Monomour's still sound incredible, the digital meter tubes still working great.
Rocketry still going strong, but nothing new. I spend more time running the launch out in the Black rock desert, than anything else in rocketry at this time. Also been doing a lot of astrophotography, pictures are on my Facebook. Attached photo was taking in my back yardView attachment 35396
Sorry, this really is not related to the Paradyne's
Lovely photo! I also love my Monomour's and meters are great. I ordered a new top plate for a Don Garber style stereo 2a3 amp I built during covid.
Two of those meters will sit in front of the 2a3's. Hours of designing on FPE was very theriputic. Glad you you are well and keep reaching for the stars.

Easier than the Kaiju from a wiring and soldering standpoint. There is some added complexity because we’ve wired things into the base, so you’ll be flipping the chassis and unhooking spade terminals a few times.
