Yes, lit meters are available, but we didn't want to force a color choice on anyone.

What you're looking for is the SO-45 meter with LED illumination in the 10V range.

One Option

A Second Option

We are also stocking some limited colors which we have bought in bulk and shipped in bulk in order to reduce shipping and import prices, and we are passing on the savings so you can buy a set of these meters at a lower price here. This small upgrade module will also provide some extra wire to make installation easier.

These meters will fit in place of the originals, but some clarification is helpful in terms of how to wire them. To begin, remove all the hardware on the stock meter and remove the meter itself.

Mount the new meter. It's a lot easier to replace only two of the mounting screws to secure the meter.

Heat up the ring terminal on the red wire and remove it.

Unscrew the flathead screw in the + terminal on the meter, slip the stripped end of the red wire in, but don't tighten.

Cut a 1" piece of red wire and strip both ends 1/4". Insert one end into the meter + hole where the original red wire lands, then tighten that terminal. Insert the other end into the terminal two spaces down from the + terminal, then tighten.

Remove the black wire with the ring terminal on it from 28U.

Cut a 5-3/4" piece of black solid core wire and strip both ends 1/4". Attach and solder one end back into 28U. Secure the free end into the - terminal on the meter.

Cut a 5-3/4" piece of black solid core wire and strip both ends 1/4". Attach and solder one end to the "F" terminal on the 4 pin jumbo socket pointing toward the rear of the chassis. Secure the free end of this wire into the remaining empty terminal on outside of the meter next to the high voltage power supply capacitors.

The alternative meter arrangement shown below will wire in the same way.
