When I compiled the manual for the SEX 4, I decided that I didn't like the existing format. Dan, PB, and Josh must have infinitely more patience than I do for text and image placement and so what worked for them wasn't working for me.
I made a new template for our kits, the first use of which was for the SEX 4 manual. I have received no complaints to date. The intent was to provide more consistency and clarity without messing with what makes these manuals great in the first place.
Over time I have started updating product manuals for the rest of the current lineup. Replacing these files in our content management system may cause some links you have to break. If this happens to you, let me know via email (info at Bottlehead dot com) and provide a receipt of your original purchase and I'll shoot you a new copy. If there are meaningful edits to a manual I will notify people for whom we have purchasing records, but otherwise we don't have plans to send proactive updates to everyone.
