Well, one switch will turn on the 36v power  -&+, and the other will switch the D cells. I haven't wired them up yet, so it may be switching only the positive side for the D cells, one for each heater. Haven't thought it through just yet. Got a ways to go.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo  I love the open knife switches!  Does lightning strike from the ball to the left of the tubes??

Nice, I really think Doc should get some of those switches.

'IGOR!'  'THROW THE FIRST SWITCH!'  'YES, MASTER'  'IGOR, THROW,,,THE SECOND SWITCH!'  'GOT IT, MASTER( I HOPE HE PAYED THE ELECTRIC BILL, LAST TIME,THE HUMILIATION WAS THE TALK OF THE VILLAGE FOR WEEKS)'    'IGOR, THROW THE THIRD SWITCH!' ... ???? 'EXCUSE ME MASTER, BUT PERHAPS WE SHOULD TAKE A SMOKE, AND THINK THIS THROUGH...THERE IS NO THIRD SWITCH(I CAN'T BELIEVE MY GRANDFATHER PUT UP WITH THIS S***)'

Thanks for the encouragement. I was not sure at first, but then put brass up next to it. Don't forget, the brass ball is just for looks. The actual volume controls will be placed elsewhere. yah, you'll see. The trick here was to keep the eye moving. Too much and it 'sticks'. Thats why the volume controls must be mounted elsewhere. At first, I wanted to mount the switches up front. But then I thought, who wants to look at copper tops?

YES!! Really, don't you know, that has to be one of my all time favorite movies! It's in B&W, it follows the story(kind of), and it has brilliant lines/actors, and giant knockers...why, thank you doctor.

I actually like the purple! Its got potential!

I like the purple too, though I think that color is closer to Plum, sort of looks like the grape Jolly Rancher. I love the switches as well, I don't think I'll try to incorporate those into my Sex kit build though. We now have further confirmation that Greg is indeed Abby something or other!  Great job, I'm sure you will enjoy listening to it as well.

Cheers,
Shawn

Deb,

Thanks. It worked out pretty well. I am in the process of finding an appropriate cigar box to house this Quickie. I started to make one, and it got complicated with compound angels (hmm, I like that happy accident), and other joints that were more trouble than they were worth. So, it is working, but not fully assembled.

Yeah, count me in on the purple also, love the team of purple and brass/gold together.... real classy... and yes, have to also admit, thoughts of jolly ranchers came to mind as well..... Dang, if they havent done a deep 'psyche' job on us all growing up with those things in our mouths.... one of those unforgettable childhood candies....

OK, here is the latest progress. Not done, but a better idea of the end result. On each side, you will notice two knobs. One is for coarse adjustment (6  6db steps) of volume, and the other for fine adjustment(5  1db steps)

Hey Greg - That definately looks like some kind of Sci-Fi torture device form an old 'Mad' magazine or something. Or maybe Spy vs. Spy. - Eric
