I completed the assembly of my Moreplay last week and all I can say is WOW! It sounds fantastic. The bass and treble are well defined, midrange beautifully detailed without being shouty, and no batteries to mess with. I have been using a Quickie for years and enjoyed the sound quality it produced, but in my opinion the Moreplay is a large step up. So far I have used it with Quicksand, SEX 2.1 and a PP EL84 Motorola amp. I am hearing details that I have never heard before and the separation between vocals, instruments and channels is "just fantastic"! Next amps to be used is the Seductor, SEX 2.0 and a pair of Ampex 6973 mono blocks.
It's too bad all the shows and meets have been cancelled, this would have been very popular to hear! As always it was fun to build and even better to listen to. The best advice that I can give is read the manual before you start anything and most importantly take your time, you do not need to set any land speed records assembling the kit. Many thanks to the Bottlehead team for such an exciting product!
