I put a new Audio Note Pot in my Crack.. Now I would like to try a pair of Audyn Cap Q4 100uF 400V MKP Metalized Polypropylene Foil Crossover Capacitors. It it as simple as replacing the stock capacitors withe the new. If that is the case i can do that. If not could someone steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is that simple.  Those big caps will fit much, much more easily in a Crack-a-two-a and there are mounting points so you can secure them to the chassis plate.

I am sipping the cool aid with a little bourbon. In Doc B’s words “…for the stock Crack circuit the two easiest improvements after Speedball are film output caps and a better attenuator.”  Thank you very much for your reply. I plan  to keep Bottlehead  rolling in many ways. I need a new Turntable preamp and have a few PQ 6922 valves so ........ I am saving my $.

I i just finished putting the bigger film saps in. I say that they make a the Crack sound better. I spent $74.00 bucks and think that it was $ well spent. I took out my  Tung-Sol 5998 and my Sylvanlia 6SN7GT both vintage and put in a Thomson 6080WA and one of my RCA Clear Top and gave a listen. Sounds like it grew bigger you know. I am going to have a beer now listen to a old CBS Records of Aja. Many thanks to all that have helped along the way. I put the Caps both with the names and values towards the headphone jack. I saw somewhere that they go in a certain way due to the way the are constructed? I have seen them installed both ways. Maybe someone will jump in. Might have to turn mine around.
