Hello,

just installed the first board and doing the DC voltage check. i am reading way above on both terminal OA and OB. reading numbers all over on OB way above. i tried to re solder OB wire on the board as well as the two wire on the terminal but still not right. also now OA is not reading incorrect at 150 and it was checking right at first. is there anything i should check into? my crack without speedball was working fine for 2 weeks no issue. thank you much for the help guys

cheers,

Emmanuel

Hi Paul,

thank you for your prompt reply. here are some pics of the board. it is the first board to be installed and it is the smaller one of the two.
hope we can spot the issue! may be it is obvious to you?

thks again

Brgds,

Emmanuel  ;D

OL means over limit, which is what you are supposed to see at those terminals.

I would reheat the solder joints on those 47K resistors until the solder flows through the board.  Definitely do not solder both sides of the PC board, as it's important to heat these joints up enough that the solder flows into the hole all the way and comes out the other side on its own.

Hi Paul,

i wanted to thank you for the help and advise! i have finished the crack complete with the speedball. and the upgrade sounds amazing!!! after listening at the stock crack, i definitely hear the difference in separation mid an high. super ultra quiet! so far so good with the build no noise or unbalanced sound. crossing fingers that it will last this way :) since it is my first introduction to electronic and build. love it!

thks again

Emmanuel
