RS Wall Wart. Regulated or Filtered?

I bought a rs wall wart 6V 800mA for the dc heater mod awhile back and its filtered.
Should i use a regulated ww instead or is the filtered one gtg?

You'd have to hook it up and measure the DC voltage it puts out while it's loaded.

I mean there isn't any test in the Foreplay manual for an external wall wart, as it wasn't something we provided at the time. You'll need to hook the wall wart up to the tube heaters and then measure the heater voltage to see if you're in the ballpark. Do note that it may take 30 seconds or so for the heater power draw to stabilize, so you may need to wait a bit. You do not need the high voltage portion of the circuit energized to do this work, and I'd suggest leaving that bit disconnected to make this a safer process.
