Reducing gain on the Upgraded Moreplay

Hello, I love the sound of my stock Moreplay, but it has a lot of gain. I would like to install the Upgrade Kit, but that adds even MORE gain. Can i put resistors on the Alps pot to pad it tf down? I can only go to 8 o'clock on the Volume as it is.

Yes. Either 75K/33K on the balance or 7.5K/3.3K on the volume. Or both. The sound will be different depending on location.
