quickie review

From the article;
"The circuit design is single-ended, meaning it amplifies the entire signal with a single semiconductor device"

Is a vacuum tube considered a "semiconductor"?

My betters are certainly free to correct me but a "vacuum tube" a thermionic device meaning it needs heat to free electrons for conduction in a vacuum (or inert gas).

In semiconductor devices conduction happens in a solid (non-gaseous) state.

So by the definitions I know a tube is not a semiconductior.

Clearly the author does not differentiate between "active device" and "semiconductor," having almost never heard of any other kind. To be fair, many consider the actual working of an oxide cathode to be a semiconductor. (Does not apply to tungsten filaments though.)

I found the test results particularly interesting, particularly the FLAT frequency responce.

Would love to see what adding a PJCCS does to the gain and distortion specs.

Ah, cool, it read like the article was over after the first page  hahaha

Impressive FR and S/N indeed.
