PJCCS building doubts

Hello,

I am waiting for the PJCCS kit to arrive , I read some posts here talking about mistakes on the PJCCS manual, so what kind of shrewdness should i look to build it? I have just to follow the manual or should I look to some errors on it ?

thank you

I do not recall any issues, when I built my PJCCS according to the instructions. Maybe someone else knows more.

Best Michael

did you hear any difference with PJCCS mounted on Q ?

I ran stock Quickie, choke mods and then replaced the chokes with PJCCS.

Adding chokes increased the gain.  Replacing the chokes with PJCCS kept the gain and made the unit sound (to me) more extended high and low and more dynamic.

There has been some mention that the stock and choke mod Quickie sounds more "tubish" and "Lush" and the PJCCS sounds "drier" and "more accurate".

To me the PJCCS sounds all around better and I have no desire to return to chokes or un-modded. Your taste and milage may vary.

The first and fifth posts in the Quickie folder are about manual corrections and a change in the look of transistors, respectively.

As a mistake is found the CD-R gets updated and there is a sticky post in the appropriate folder.

Read those two posts, follow the directions and you should have a perfectly operating PJCCS.

I just finished assembly PJCCS kit and connected to the Q , it makes really a big emprovement !!

Yep, that's what I think. For the price of a couple decent beers and a burger (and a fair tip for the server), worth trying it out.
