Newbie tube swapping question

Hi:
If I want to swap out the included tubes for some NOS tubes, do I need to get a matched pair?  I'm assuming yes but want to confirm.

p.s.  Not unhappy with the included tubes...but might be fun to try some others.

Not super critical since there is a balance control that allows you to compensate for variations in mu between the tubes.
