It's hard to believe this is your first kit build. Thats awesome! Having that much mass should help quell many microphonics issues. How did you get that design in the concrete?

I would be worried about heat build up though, my Smash did get a little warm and needed to be up on feet to allow for air flow.

Thanks for the comments. I really enjoyed the wiring part of the build and making the box. To answer the questions, the pattern was from sticking a piece of embossed wallpaper on the inside of the mold. The case was made in a laminate covered chipboard mold, a box within a box where the space between the two boxes is filled with concrete.  So far it is still pretty microphonic but there again I haven't isolated the top plate from the box yet with any kind of rubber or some such stuff, the space is pretty tight to do that but should  be able to manage something in due course. At the moment there are felt pads on the bottom which allows for a littlle airflow but will change those up shortly. It does not seem to be getting too hot.
