Miscellaneous Ramblings

Went to the Ophthalmologist this morning, my brother in law.  They put drops in my eyes and I thought I would go blind when I walked out of the office.

Now my glasses don't seem to work on the site. 

Boy, getting old really sucks.  Cool thing is I ordered perscription sunglasses to drive in.  My car is a convertible. 
 
I bought a round attachment for my pressure washer last summer.  It rained so much I didn't get to use it.

Yesterday I started the 3 year pressure washing of my driveway and walks.  I forgot the tool and spent 2/3 of the time doing the top half of the driveway.  Then I slapped my head and brought out the new tool.

It cuts a 15" wide swath across the driveway and walks.  I finished in half of the time I spent on the top half of the driveway.

I bought it at Home Depot.  It cost $60 but is easily worth double that to my feeble back.
 
However,  I am impressed that their buses are equipped with seats that clean themselves.... nice feature...
 
Haha, yeah, given how badly these guys drive, it is an extremely bad choice for a travel company name.... I told my usual travel gal about this, and she couldnt stop laughing... And she is FROM the country....
 
I spent 3.5 hours polishing and waxing my car's hood this morning.

I qualify as Car Crazy.  Look in my refrigerator:

The wax (Zymol) is red, so is the car.
 
The waxing was all done before noon.  No beer.

Oh, you meant in the 'fridge.  I don't usually drink beer.  There are two beers, over a year old behind the gallon of milk.  I think they are worthless now.
 
Another bend in the thread. 

Last night we went to hear Alison Krauss & Union Station w/Jerry Douglas And Willie Nelson.  I've long been a fan of AK&USw/JD.  Their segment was 1.5 hours, I wished it were longer.  They have too many hits to play them all.  The selections were a good cross section of everyone's talents.  I was surprised that Dan Tyminski had a hit that I had never heard.  He and Jerry Douglas performed it.

We left shortly after Willie Nelson started.  His band was sparse but the crowd roared when they started.

BTW, either Alison had on a very odd outfit or she is pregnant.  This is what could have caused the delay in this concert schedule.  It was supposed to be in May.
 
I would like to have been there with you, as am a bit of fan myself of both Alison and Jerry. Alison voice just keeps getting better as she gets older.
 
It is 74F this afternoon.  I'm washing my car for the first time in months.  I have used a Hand Car Wash place, but I do a better job.
 
At 32, don't touch your tongue to the flag pole either.

I have finished and it looks great.  But that is the most bending and turning I have done since back surgery.  Tomorrow will tell if it was a mistake.
 
New note:  Hairy Bittercress is driving me nuts.  No, he isn't some odd Englishman.  It is a weed and incredibly prolific.  Maybe the rabbit of all weeds.  I'm waging a war against it this spring.

Today I clay bar-ed my car then waxed it, paste of course.  I felt good this morning but all this was a mistake.

Edit, the clay bar/wax and weed spraying was a bad mistake.  Too much at one time.
