Man Speakers from Blumenstein Audio

HA HA! beat me to it. Besides can't you just see the look on the neighbors faces when the truck arrives?  "Mildred, I told you this guy was nuts! I bet those are weapons of mass destruction."

Just got a first read of the OP.

Hoochie Mamma!  Them's big woofers!

How about MONGO as the name for them?  A slight tip of the hat to Alex Karras and Blazing Saddles.

Did you use a fish eye lens or do they tilt?

They would swallow up my room so for now I just have to dream.  And while I'm at it, I will dream of an SET, like PB's, with the pair of 6C33Cs that I have stashed.

Ok, Mark Audio Alpair 12p it is then... As usual, what the hell do I know.... haha.. and "I'm totally obsessed with whales for so many different reasons"... hhmmm that could be a little too much information there Clark... thank goodness you didnt say "on so many different levels!' :)      just teasing ya....

Why are you guys doing this to me? ;-)  How big is that woofer anyway?

Of course to even begin to think of owning these I'd have to part with my Nagas and that's not a very attractive option, though the extra efficiency and and greater lower extensiion would be marvelous with the SR-45s in my small room, where WAF is not a factor either.

Oh yea, a big klipsch/altec/jbl horn with no horns and that are shallow enough for our smaller spaces.  How could I not like it.

The woofers are 18".  We tried these with the SR-45, and it was a very pleasant presentation, though maybe borderline in terms of power.

If I were to show the first post to my wife she would shoot me!  I wouldn't even have to say I wanted them.  She would just shoot me!

Grainger is totally speechless.... :)

I did it again!  When I preview, change font and select the text color I picked "biege" which makes the text disappear.  Why is that selection even available?  Can I get a background that would allow it to show up?

What is the sensitivity of those Eminence woofers?  They look like the Sigma Pro series,  I bet they can thump when needed!

These woofers have an unbelievably open and clear sound.  As many on this forum are familiar with, I am very fond of the way that large format bass reproduction sounds and that preference plays heavily into what we're building, even into my design choices of my littlest speakers.

Paul and I went through quite a number of iterations on these woofers alone (not even counting all the boxes and woofers he and I have made for before we met each other).

Going to play with this design further this year.

Cheers,

Clark
