LP Giveaway, Updated 2/12/13

Alonzo,

I put a strike through them.  It is the middle of the night for me and I'm awake.  I might be able to get them to the Post Office today if I don't fall asleep.  If not, tomorrow for sure.  John's will be in the same mailing.

John,

Since no body else has asked for them I don't mind at all.  Obviously we were hitting puberty about the same time.  Do you already have a BS&T BS&T?

I do, but feel free to substitute with anything else that might be ungraded...

PS I will send payment when I get home tonight!!

Thanks,
Regarding that 1st chick corea u sent....1st i've heard it and its a favorite now! Thanks mucho.
PS, Regarding your PM...I'm class of 77....You?

John,

You are always welcome.  I'm class of 67 (HS) and 71 college.  My wife is class of 76 HS.  So you are closer to her age, but still have great taste in music like she does.

Wow! What fun!!! The Blues Project was perfect...not a  great effort at recording, lot'sa pops and clicks... all added to the raw charm of the live performance.  Dave Bromberg was new for me.  I love blues, horns and then mix in some blue glass overtones and over the top humor, just plain fun.  I can honestly say the  Adam Makowicz is one of the few "audiophile terroir" albums that I have enjoyed the music.  I am a big Clark Terry fan, so this was a great "get".

Grainger, you are a gent! Go raibh maith agat.

Cheers,
Geary

Hi,
Thank you for doing this!!!  I would like, if still available:

Adam Makowicz, piano - The Name Is Makowicz, Sheffield piano music,  VG
Dave Bromberg Band - How Late'll Ya Play'till?, VG
The Blues Project

Geary,

It has been deleted but I remember saying the Blues Project was not clean.  Did I say Goldmine fair to good?

It is one of those LPs that if you don't have one it is worth having but if you have one in any condition you don't need another.

The Adam Makowicz didn't appeal to me, it was my only copy.  If it were MJQ, I would have kept it.  I'm glad you like it.

Your statement about Audiophile LPs is right.  I used to demonstrate audio gear using the early Sheffield albums, the Lincoln Mayorga.  They were well recorded, direct to the master disk but the musical performance was awful!  If I never hear it again in my life I will be very happy!

I see I need to post some more LPs.  I have gone through 5 shelves, 4 to go.  There are fewer duplicated at the end of the alphabet.  I'm in to "M" now.

You were quite accurate in your description.  Although, as described, a bit noisy, the music and setting more than compensated!

Cheers,
Geary

Abraxas - I didn't know you were letting loose of that one.  If no one speaks up, I would be proud to take it off your hands...

Hi Grainger,

Any chance the Edgar Meyer album is available?  Big fan.  Always great music.  Thanks for your kindness.

Jim

Hi Grainger,

Just wondering if you still have these two available:

Don Sebesky, Giant Box

Robert Hunter - Tiger Rose

The only thing is that I'm located up here North of the Boarder...Not sure about postage cost to Canada...?

Any info would be most appreciated.

Cheers,
Adam.

Adam,

That would be a thick box.  I have fit them into a proper sized box.  Let me check with the post office and let you know.  In the mean time I'm striking them for you.

This one will replace the one I bought used recently that looks like a truck ran over it.  I'll give it to my son, a recent vinyl convert.

thanks again

Hey Grainger - I'll take the Steve Miller and Van Morrison off your hands if that works - PM me your address so I can PayPal the $ over!
