Here is one of the Foreplays I have built. Pretty much stock with some cabinet accents and aluminum knobs.

Wow, the underside construction looks gorgeous. Very neat, very clean (and very quiet in operation, i bet).

I noticed you used magnet wire for the ground bus. Any reason why? and how the heck did you strip off the dielectric? I still can't figure out how to do it well enough to get a decent solder joint. I own an original foreplay that i got from my uncle back in the day, but it's suffering from issues, so I'm thinking about rebuilding it for fun even though I don't have any need for a line stage. Maybe I'll buy or build some monoblocks some day...

It was within reach when I started building. The requirement for stripping the coating off is heat. For ends, a solder pot is very handy. For mid section, I use my soldering iron and build up a blob of solder that I surround the wire with. The solder is a heat bridge and is what removes the coating. A dry iron will not do much. You can always scrape the coating off with a Xacto, knife or sandpaper, but I find my solder method to be easier and less messy. Your mileage may vary.
