Is the 1/4" HP jack adapter a Neutrik NP2RX-B ?

Cheers,

You need the  Neutrik NP3RX -   The 2RX is the mono version
Really nice plugs IMO.

Looks great. I have the same setup. With right angle connectors on all connection.

Also, the finish on the base looks great.

Whoops. Thanks Desmond.

Is this a connector that needs to be soldered to HP cable, or an adaptor ?
I would prefer an adaptor so I don't have to mod my Beyer's cable.

But if I have to, I have to, as I'll probably always use them with the Crack. Next HPs wil probably be low impedance Orthos.

Cheers,

John

Yes it's the stereo Neutrik connector that needs to be soldered.  I also made an adapter with this style connector and a stereo jack on the oher end.

John, you dont have to solder it to the headphones cable.   You simply make a short cable using the Neutrik connector on one end and an inline female TRS jack on the other. Really easy.  There are some adapters available as well that plug into the Crack headphone jack and then provide a right angle input to plug your phones into.  They aren't sold everywhere but can be found on the net.

Here is a link to the thread in the Crack forum showing the cable I made using the Neutrik plug.  It's the last post in the thread.

You can give this adapter for the headphones a try.

Thanks guys. I'll see if I can find the adapters in Oz. I was turning up connectors when I searched for them.

If not, out with the soldering iron.

Or this one which is a little purdier ...   http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-Angle-Stereo-Phone-Plug/dp/B000WUH9HA

Nice find

Actually, looking at it closer, I think it's a connector to solder onto a cable, not an adapter.  So, my mistake.
