Blown Fuse While Checking The Transformer

The fuse blew while checking the transformer, pulled the fuse from my Crack and that one blew too.
Wired as illustrated. No damage to any wires, used the supplied power lead and the one from my Crack.

I'm going to try to get some new fuses today. I am also going to try a different multimeter, I have a suspicion that the one I use is fine with ohms but doesn't like AC power.
Here are some pictures. I'm going to reflow the joint on the power switch closest to the edge of the chassis

With the power unplugged, remove the red wire that connects to the power transformer, then leave it sticking up in the air and retest.

With that wire disconnected, check the DC resistance between terminals 1 and 2 on the power transformer.

I'll try this once I've been to the store to get some new fuses.

It was the multimeter.
The fuse didn't blow and all voltages checked within specs with a different multi meter connected.
