Hi, please can I check another point on the input mod for beepre2? In the main manual, each input gets a 0.1uF capacitor between the ground tab and the chassis. Is a cap necessary on the XLR inputs? The mod calls for the ground from the transformer to go to the XLR ground pin.

You can leave those off on the XLR inputs. These provide a path to earth for radio frequency energy that could be picked up by a cable shield to keep it out of the signal path, but an XLR cable has a separate shield which gets tied to the chassis on its own, so there's no need for the little caps.

Thank you again sir, delighted to report the mod works great and this amp sounds fantastic. Much quieter than the Freya+ in noise floor and just sounds better all round!
