You Might Be Old If . . .

the cheapest i have  ever seen gas was in san antonio in 1961.  19 cents per gallon during an old fashioned gas war.  lasted for a week.  all of the gi s in my barraks were desparate  to fill up their tanks.  this was when we were getting $85 per month.  horrible memories.  don

Yeah, I had to do the same in May .... up until then I really didn't consider myself "old" ... When I start to look forward to the early bird senior special at the Golden Corral between 2-4PM, you have my permission to box me up right then ....

You might be old if you remember a time before FM, remember B&W TV and about 5 stations that went off the air at midnight, and were born just before the space age, before man put any object in space.

Hmmm that makes me about 58, retired since I was 49, and wondering if I go to enough seminars on Medicare from now till it's time to sign up for me if I will EVER understand the plans.  How did you guys figure it out?    The plans seem harder to figure out then Chinese Algebra...

I'm in my late 30's and i remember a time when all four TV channels stopped at midnight.  Anybody on this side of the pond will remember this..

...its actually kind of creepy.

I still won't eat early birds.

I remember all stations signing off at night, the "advent" of FM and I built a model of Sputnik.

Don't even think you will understand all the twists and turns that Medicare has.  Get a good agent and have him give you some suggestions.  That is what I did.

You know you're old when you remember when movie theaters were actual theaters, with balconies, and you could sit anywhere in the theater and still have lots of room, and the movie screen was 1000 times bigger than life itself.

I remeber the station signing off and black and White TV.

As for Medicare,  if you think it is a mess from your side, imagine how complex it is for my (the physician) side

Deb,

I am very happy that my Doctor's offices take care of the insurance end of the business for me.  I can't imagine what it is like dealing with health insurance.
