I like the nice clean look.  It would never work for me, I have 2 black animals and two grey ones.

I don't have any pets.  I have three kids through and they know they're not allowed to touch any of the stereo gear, esp. if it has tubes due to the risk of getting burned from the hot tubes.

They do appreciate the stereo though.  They love rockin' out to music with the volume up (not too loud though for their sensitive ears).  They even get to listen through some headphones.  Their favorites are the AKG K1000 and HD650 cans.  The heavier planar magnetic HE500 and LCD2.2 cans aren't comfortable for them...
