Well.. I broke my 12AU7 when I was about to test voltages. D:

Hey all,

Just finished my build.. almost. Did my resistance checks and all looked great.

Got out the tubes, was putting in the big boy and then my 12AU7 somehow rolled off of my bench and onto the floor.. and cracked.

So, just wondering if anyone knows of a good resource to purchase tubes from in Canada? I am hoping that I can get it shipped quickly. I was thinking of grabbing a RCA Clear Top 12AU7, but perhaps there are better options. I'dd buy from ebay but I'm not sure I would be purchasing the correct tube.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd buy from eBay.  If it's a 12AU7, it's the right tube.  If you go with eBay, consider buying a group of 2+ tubes, just so you have some spares.

Also, if there's a guitar type store in your area, they will have 12AU7's on the shelf.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think of checking a music store at all. Seems like my local shop has some 12AU7's in stock. I'll grab something to use for now and order some RCA Clear Tops.
