VH Audio DIY Power Cord

Has anyone had experience with the "Flavor 2" diy power chord kit from VH Audio? Was wondering if it would pair well with Bottlehead products because im interested in making one myself.

Never had much joy with fancy mains lead, maybe my ears are not that good. Tried diy and bought, well borrowed one, but if you want to try a diy one and save a few bucks here’s a good link.
