That may have been around the time of the infamous Doc B. leg injury.

The July/August 1997 issue, v4 n7/8 was a combined issue, published just before the VSAC 97 conference. It was a pretty hectic time, as I recall!

I think PJ is right about that being right before the first VSAC in 97. I wrecked my leg in 2005, a couple years after we stopped doing VSAC and I was moving on to the Tape Project startup.

It's certainly flattering that people still look at those old VALVE mags. I was the same way about earlier audio publications and the result was I grew a pretty good sized library of old books and mags. And those old books and mags that inspired me will be for sale at my garage sale on the 10th and 11th. There's just about a 5x5 Expedit bookcase full of goodies like Audio Amateur, Audio Anthology, Radiotron, Audio Cyclopedia, old Allied books, lots of electronics texts, etc.
