Using Cotton insulated wire for chassis

I have had great success with cotton wrapped wire for interconnects. Can I use cotton insulated solid copper wire for the chassis wire? Is the insulation enough or will I need to double up for higher voltage wires like power supply? I am likely going to go with wire from Ron at Marigo Audio.

What is the insulation voltage rating of the wire you are considering?

Here is the reply I got from Ron at Marigo when asked about the insulation.

"It is a coated cotton. Most woven coverings don't have a v rating. It is very safe for 120 volts. Tube HV just keep these wires separated."

He also states that I can double insulate wires to be extra safe.

The thing to remember when you vary from the parts we supply or the procedures we outline is that we can't possibly guarantee performance or safety. We recommend the use of wire with a known insulation voltage breakdown rating, particularly for high voltage wiring. 600VDC is a good starting point for that use and that is what we supply. The high voltage wiring in the Kaiju uses 600V rated Teflon insulation. I don't recommend using a covered wire that has no insulation breakdown rating for those connections.
