Hi all,
First time builder here, working through the Crack 1.1 manual (Rev. 2). I'm on page 70, the first step of Part VI - High Voltage Power Supply and Output Wiring.
The step instructs me to install a UF4007 rectifier with the banded end to 21L and un-banded end to 19L, and mentions that 'the body of the rectifier sits just behind the previously mounted rectifier.'
My issue is that this is the very first rectifier diode in the build — there is no previously mounted rectifier before this step. Part V covered input and socket wiring with no UF4007 diodes installed.
Is this a documentation error, or am I missing something? Should I just mount this first diode at a specific position on the terminal strip without worrying about the reference to a previous rectifier?
Image showing two rectifier diodes on the terminal strip.
Also worth noting — I already caught the A9/A8 LED typo from a previous thread, so I'm being extra careful before soldering anything in this section.
Thanks in advance!
