TVC’s replacing the volume pot in a Moreplay?

I’ve been toying with the idea of replacing the volume pot of my Moreplay with a TVC. My question is, does this have any hope of working?

Specifically, I’m considering using the Sowter Type 9335. Sowter says “these transformers should be driven from a source impedance as low as possible but will work well with a source up to 10k ohms (The source is the triode strapped 6V6 plate? That impedance is about 2k ohm, so OK?). Where necessary a blocking capacitor should be used to ensure no dc is applied to either winding (The 2.2 uF coupling cap covers that. And I don't think the load will be a current source). The secondary load can be any value the higher the better (load I’m driving is Loftin-White tube amp w/100k ohm pots on the input, so that’s Ok). A Zobel network is not required on types 9335 to 9339 to damp high frequency resonances which are non-existent.

Sowter says this about the 9335 output impedance “The transformer action of these attenuators ensures the loading circuit sees a low driving impedance regardless of the switch position.” They don’t spec any impedances, but presumably it will have lower output impedance than the Moreplay with the standard 10k pot.

Hopefully it will also sound good, but my primary concern is whether or not it’s even feasible. BTW, the volume pot it will replace is a Goldpoint V24 SMD 10kOhm unit.

It is possible that this will work, but I don't see a spec for the maximum operating level of that TVC, and that will be a critical parameter for how well this might work, as the Moreplay will put a ton of signal across that device.

I would also see post #76 here:

Thank you Paul! You make a great point regarding signal level, it may saturate the core, and post #76 suggests Sowter is a risky choice in any case. That’s a shame.
