Tube Problem

I've just finished building my Crack. Resistance Checks are done and fine.. My only problem is that the 6080 tube does not completely fit in..I've tried several times, but it feels like its blocked. It goes like half way through. Should like look for new tubes?

How hard are you pushing?

I'd grab that metal ring base and give it some pressure, it's likely that one of the pin receptacles in the socket needs some pressure to straighten out.

You can also look into each of the pin holes on the socket to see if there's some solder that snuck in there and is causing a blockage, or if one of the pin forks needs to be pressed out of the way.

Got it, applied more pressure on the meteal base and it seems that one of the pin was not straight. Thanks for the advice  ..Going to get the voltages check tomorrow
