Tried and true recommendation

I am getting some butcher block counter material for some long overdue baffle updates for my F-15's. They are made of Hevea wood.

my go to for this kind of thing is Tung oil but I would like to try Tried and true. They have several types am thinking that the beeswax and oil might be what I am looking for

I've tried all their products. The Original Wood Finish with the Beeswax is good BUT it is a process and it takes time to get the desired outcome.  You have to apply light coats and let it dry and cure. It will take several coats to achieve a glorious finish. In the winter time, it may take a week to do 3-4 coats before its ready to use.  If you stick to the directions on the can it will turn out good. The other issue is that the buffing may raise the grain a bit. If you use solid/hardwood, it will be fine. If you use something like baltic birch plywood it may lift the grain so you have to be carefull.  I've also had great results with their Danish Oil and then using a seperate paste wax like Orange Wax from Town Talk Polish Company or Clapham's Beewax Polish.  The good thing about both processes is that the surface can be rejuvenated by either reapplying the Original Wood finish or just by polishing it with the separate wax again. I have used both the original and beeswax formulas and am very satisfied with the beautiful sheen finish.
The beeswax formula is more suitable for applications where the wood may be wet, such as wooden salad bowls.
