Triangle speakers

Hi!
I am thinking to match my new SEX4 with bookshelf speakers made by Triangle, model: Borea BR03. Their sensitivity is 90 dB but they are supposed to be easy to drive. The impedance is 4.2 to 8 ohms. Should I connect the OPT SEX4 in 4 ohms or 8 ohms mode?

I would try the 4 ohm setting first and plan to leave it there if you have enough power.

Is it an easy task to disconnect the 4-ohm tap and reconnect to 8-ohm tap if I decide to go with new speakers.

Depends on your definition of easy. It’s a few wires that need to be rearranged on the output transformers.

I guess this is a piece of cake after wiring and soldering the SEX4.
