Dan, I put the repro in the sun for a week. Gettin there!

I laminated lacewood veneer onto the front panels.

Lacewood is thought to emit mind altering toxins and could be dangerous. It would be highly recommended that you send the unit to someone specialized in lacewood disposal. Fortunately, I am willing to take that risk since I find you to be a valuable individual. Look at it this way, you dodged a bullet my friend, and that, is what matters here. P.S. you will have to shoulder shipping.

Looking good!  Now you need to veneer that transport to match   How do you like the 300? I have one available to me and am wondering if it's worth the effort to rebuild?

Funny, I was looking at and knowing that the Deck was in plywood, but admiring how the colors were so close.  Yes, a veneer (everybody drink) job would be nice.

Aaron, it's a very noisy transport and it rumbles (idler wheel).  But it's very good, and probably the most musical transport I've heard. Compared to the ATR it's a little less detailed and a little more musical (tiny difference each way).
