Hi:
Building this kit, the instructions have you measure incoming voltage by plugging in and measuring at the terminals at back of the power inlet. Any reason I can't just check at the wall outlet?

The manual instructions test that the fuse is good and correctly installed, and the switch and power entry socket are correctly wired, as well as determining the voltage.
