Attached is a picture of my Beepre. I cannot be more pleased by its sound -- a very clear step above Foreplay III which was itself a step up from a very good solid state preamp that I had previously. The only modifications that I made was to use sonicaps for daytons and silver and copper wire from vh audio, instead of cat-5 cabling. This was the first time I have ever veneered anything, and I am grateful to JamieMcc for his helpful advice. I did it without using vacuum press. I have had problems with one channel, which thanks to PB I have finally figured out (a loose wire in a relatively hidden place, 5L). I should also like to give a shout out to Eileen, Josh, and the Doc for being so helpful. Finally, I strongly recommend Genalex gold lions. They look exactly like EE300b, but they have a richer mid-range and are less microphonic (they also weigh more).
