B bassnkeys New member Feb 6, 2015 #1 Has anyone tried the Stereomour as a pre? What mods? or... bad idea? Thanks, 16°f in MN this am
P Paul Joppa Moderator Feb 6, 2015 #2 Because of the AC filament power the Stereomour has a bit of hum. It's acceptable for most speakers, but too much for a preamp output in most cases.

B bassnkeys New member Feb 6, 2015 #3 Thanks. I suspected as much but thought I'd ask. I use mine (fairly) near field with Spica TC-60's... totally silent operation combined with super nice image/depth/phase coherence. Thanks again.
