Speedball transistor upgrades: AMB σ78?

I'm curious if it would be possible to use these to upgrade the transistors on the Speedball board? I'm no EE so I've had a difficult time trying to figure out if the transistor used in the Speedball has an equivalent that matches the stated series, or whether these can be dropped in as long as the correct voltages are used.

Those are not even transistors. They are voltage regulators. So, no.
