Speed ball error? Solved!

Hi guys I have just added the Speedball and need a little help trouble shooting I have the UK 240 version.

All leds light up on both boards and octal sockets

The 6080 both filaments glow
The 12au7 gets warm but I could see no glow

Volts checks look ok except the following

at terminal 19 I have 82
at terminal 20 I have 0

I did knock the 220uf 250 v capacitor attached to 20 and 21 and wonder if I might have damaged it?

I have tried reflowing solder joints on 20 and 21 upper and lower terminals. No change

OK I went through the sticky and noticed

"Here's a typo that managed to sneak in from an early version of the Crack manual due to a copy and paste error:

In the voltage check on page 29, Terminal 20 should read 0VDC and terminal 21 should read 206VDC. Terminal 19 is not a relevant measurement."

So after measuring terminal 21 which has 212 v its looking better

But I am still concerned as to why the 12au7 does not glow now?

OK I swapped over the 12u7 I was testing with and replaced with a RCA Clear Top, switched off the lights and both filaments can now be seen glowing. Not if sure if everything is resolved as yet however the speedball and Crack are now up and running and I have music.

I am pleased to confirm after some listening.

Speedball, it does what it says on the tin 

"Things get tighter and quicker, bass and midrange get cleaner and more dynamic sounding, and the background gets more quiet. As with all of our upgrade kits, the improvement is easily heard."

Edit it was tight but with a little pressure I did managed to fit the large speedball ball board  without having to remove the two capacitors that required bending back even though one was rather snuggly fitted to its rail.

Ah its a British saying it generally means a product does exactly what it claims to do

ie The product inside the tin does exactly what it says on the label on the outside.
