Sometimes you just gotta replace it rather than fix it.

The new setup got put together last night, and it's really nice. This morning I was seeing 38M down and nearly 12M up. Hoping to see even faster down, as I have seen up to 47M in the past few months. Suddenly this setup at work seems a little slow...18M down and 3.5M up today. This business park is getting crowded!

Was that over a wireless connection?  I'm guessing your pushing a 54 Mbit/s wifi to its limit.

I switched to 1gbit wired Ethernet at home to get the most out of my connection, tests 131mb/sec down, 11mb/sec up @17ms. Kind of funny when 100mbit Ethernet just isnt good enough any more :)

Yeah, the connection at work is relatively slow. But the new setup at home is great. Didn't have an Ethernet cable handy that was long enough to reach from the LAN jack on the wall to the new router so was streaming hi def video over wifi into the HT last night with not one glitch. Almost have the surround setup complete in there too, lots of speaker wiring happened last night. Tonight Paul Stubblebine and his lovely wife Connie are coming to visit. I hope PS can get is ears warmed up enough to help me get the surround dialed in. It's 16F here this morning, my ancient rebuilt oil furnace is humming along and we have little electric heaters running in whatever room we are inhabiting. Luckily the HT with a CRT projector and three tube amps stays pretty warm!
