S.E.X with orthos

I've been told the answer is yes. It better be true, that's why I bought mine! (Still haven't assembled it yet, though.)

I've owned those. The HE-6 is very different. It isn't as hard to drive as people like to claim, but I wouldn't use any of those to judge whether an amp will work well with the HE-6.

It will work fine. The S.E.X. amp can even drive AKG K1000s.

I wish I had kept my K1000 around long enough to try it on my SEX!  I preferred it in many ways to the HD800 but ultimately the bass performance and slight rattle made me give it up.  I do expect another will find its way into my possession at some point.

The bass performance of the K-1000 on Paramounts driven by a BeePre had bass unlike any I have ever experienced!

I had the HE-6s in house for a little bit and they sounded very good to me out of the S.E.X. 2.1.  Nicely balanced, plenty of fullness.  I have only heard them out of the Nuforce HDP for comparison (not bad, but the bass was pretty weak), so I can't help compare to "better" amps.
