Reduction Spinning

That is one of the benefits of working for a musical company.  We make toilet paper and hand towels in the mill where I am working.  Music is a far cry from there.  Still, I listen to ripped CDs while working on AutoCad during the slow days.

Finally, someone I recognize - Yo La Tengo .  They recently played a set at my favorite Record Store, Grimeys here in Nashville.

I bought Electr-O-Pura directly from them after a show on the small stage at Lolapolooza in '95. They seem to me to be a superior live band. The albums just don't capture their energy.

Berlin Philharmonic/Karajan - Anton Webern -Passacaglia, Op1; Five Movements, Op5; Six Pieces for Orchestra, Op6; Symphony for Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Two Horns, Harp and String Quartet, op21 (Deutsch Grammophon)

Josh,

If you like the Harry Parch thing try looking up an ensemble from Ohio called "Puzzle of Light".  They too play all experimental instruments they build themselves with microtonal tunings.
