Reduction Phono Completed.

Hi, my completed Reduction with a few light mods:
Worked perfectly first time, after I discovered one of the supplied Russian tubes was bad.
Rhodium RCAs. Ground post is from Vampire Wire. Replaced the tube sockets with standard ceramics.
Replaced the stacked caps in the RIAA with a single JB JFX 0.03uF, much easier to fit!
Haven't done anything with the base, as I'm working on some new ones. Thanks to the guys at Bottlehead for another great kit.

Integration now added & as usual a good upgrade to the standard Reduction. More gain which I needed with the BeePre.
Completed the Blumenstein style base, finished with about 6 coats of Tru-oil & buffed to give a satin finish.

Nice job on the wiring,(but I am a sucker for well dressed cabling) how does it sound with the RCAs ? I'm contemplating adding a reduction to the Stereomour (Standby --- order imminent) if it will mate nicely.

Thanks, do you mean the RCA jacks? I was contemplating the Eros, but when the Reduction came out with a deal, I went for it. Glad I did, this is a really great sounding phono, to be honest I'm not sure how much better the Eros could be - it would be only in the real detail I imagine. Anyway, this running into my new BeePre & OTL power amp does sound rather nice, I'm sure it would mate really well with the Stereomour

The woodwork is tasty but it is your clean assembly that tells of your patience. A clear Lexan box would not be out of line.

Silly Me , when I saw "RCA" I assumed RCA Tubes. They are nice RCA Jacks, the rhodium will wear very well. I like the idea of the reduction being triodes as I have Pentode phono pres in my Quad setup.
I think I'll do it as soon as I've finished the Stereomour build. I promised myself not to buy anything else until the current projects are finished.  .......Discipline needed.
I've got a couple of small DAC projects to finish as well using paralleled TDA 1543 NOS with passive I/V and triode outputs and a nice TDA 1541 S1 based DAC with paralleled Single Crown Chips... Too much to do, not enough time :)
