Jamie, I now only use the Audio Note Pot (as used in the Crackatwoa) and the Khozmo Acoustic attenuators. I really like both. The Crackatwoa will eventually end up with a pair of mono Khozmo attenuators.
The Goldpoint 24 attenuator was my standard attenuator until the Khozmo came along; do not know if the Khozmo is better but it is more attractive and cheaper (unless one orders the tackman and foil resistors). Goldpoint now has a 47 step attenuator but again more expensive than the Khozmo.
I do not believe that the tackman resistors are that much better (if at all) than the Dale resistors. I like to use the TX7525 100K foil resistor and they can be purchased from the factory in Texas for $18.65.
