No the Frankenstunned Quickie is not abandoned! The base had to be re-invented. "Dam your eyes!....Too late"

Nice Greg! I like the purple! Its cool that you decided to mount the Obligatto's on the top. Those brass cases are a nice look. Complete with knife switches. - curious as to how it sounds. - Eric

Wellll- not quite done with the wiring. Got the filament  circuit to work, but haven't gotten around to rewiring the 36volt side, seeing how I chose to use these switches, and eliminate the 4 post strip for power. Think there is some lost when I inserted the PJJS, and will verify the tube connections again. From what I remember, 1&7 are tied to ground 2 I'm not sure, 3 was 36v?, 4&6 are tied together, but off the top of my head, I don't remember what is feeding them, and finally 5, again forgot, just gotta get back to the project. I have completed 5 other projects, but should only do one at a time. whew!

Glass house,  hmmm I like that much better than GlassWare. Gonna send 'em the suggestion to change names. Anyway, yes it is. As a matter of fact I ordered two sets of them, and I'll tell you why. Each circuit board contains two controls, as you can see. But, each control is a fine and coarse control. So it takes 4 controls for a stereo set. I am always yakkkin about how I want more control for each channel, and this gives 60 steps per channel I think. It is a hybred between ladder and shunt, whereas the shunt provides the coarse 6 db steps, and the ladder 5 db steps at each coarse level. I jumped in with both feet into the idea, bt have yet to hear the outcome. I DID however make great strides last night on a buffer amp that will actually be using these controls for volume, so, maybe someday soon I will have an opinion.

Don, you ignorant slut, let me just say that Rome wasn't built in a day, and so a Quickie has to take more than a mere month to build. Even someone of your limited, working gray matter can give a guy a break once in awhile. Man on the moon,  Peirmids(new word), searching for the Titanic---ALL should have taken no more than a weekend in your world. With that thinking, mankind would have had nothing left to do by now. Is THAT what you want, DONNY BOY, hmmmm?
                                        Yours always,  Dan A.

Glassware Audio, where the heck did I get Glasshouse, would be a cool name though. Did you not know the 'Peirmids' were built in a weekend. The Ancient Aliens built them, along with every other significant human creation. You should watch the Ancient Aliens show, you might learn sumthin'.

Cheers,
Shawn

i am not an ignorant slut.  i am aware enough to know that my ability to assemble bottlehead products is nonexistent,  therefore i buy them already assembled.  so there!..........now how about getting that quickie, that i bought for you, completed?  as far as me being a slut,  it takes one to know one!  don

Hey Greg (bro) - I think Don and you may be full brothers -  I may be 'quick with a joke and to light up your smoke', but Don's a genetic match! sorry dude - you're it!

i am not jane curtin and have never been jane curtin!  but it appears that someone around here is dan ackroyd..........and, in my opinion, we should all go to BOTTLEHEAD HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!don

Shawn,

See? That's exactly what I'm talking about. The really great stuff WAS all built in a weekend, and NOW look at it, already fallen apart. Same thing when I went MT. Rushmore. It's been so long since they cleaned it, you can't even see their feet!(Washington was wearing Keds).
