Bottlehead S.E.X 4 Manual [Rev 1.3], page 70:

My "6.3 DC V" pads show 4.2V DC – comfortable middle of specification range (±3.5V DC to ±4.75V DC)

However, my B++1, B+1, B++2 & B+2 pads show 494V DC – tip-top of acceptable range (420V DC to 495V DC).

Concerning? Everything else in specification, and I thought I had amply and carefully soldered the printed circuit board.

That's within the acceptable range, and that voltage will come right down once the rest of the circuit is installed and operating.

Just be extra sure that you measured your AC powerline voltage as directed in the manual and picked the correct wiring configuartion.
