PN 2907A transistor replacement - another noob question.

Welp, installed one of mine facing the wrong way, voltage checks of course failed…

Butchered the little bugger getting it out (long story).

Would it be ok to source a replacement PN2907A from another parts supplier…and not from Bottlehead?

I am transistor illiterate

Also, is there any difference between 2907 and 2907A transistors?

Either one should work fine, and they aren't all that hard to find.

Sourced some locally today, hopefully, this is my only bumb in the road.
