Peter and the wolf

I remember when I listened to Disney's picture disks of Snow White and Pinocchio when I was a child.

So nice seeing the magic still happening...  :)

2 years ago I played the album narrated by Flying Birdstein for my then 4 year old granddaughter and she had too many questions to "get"  the music.

Last year I played the Chuck Jones animated DVD for her and with the thankfully happier ending, she loved it, picking out the tunes for each character.  That set her up for both Fantasias (the Firebird is her favorite sequence) and any day I'm expecting to hear her ask, "Hi Gramps, got any Acid?"

The 1950s Children's Concerts Bernstein and the NY Philharmonic used to give on Saturday mornings!  Man, I'd love to be back there doing that again.

Xavier,
Are the speakers Altec 755* in 2 cu ft enclosure?
Didn't those young ears needed more HF?  ;D

Each year the San Francisco Children's Symphony plays Peter and the Wolf.  Last year Rita Moreno narrated and year before was John Lithgow.  The grands love the day of dress up, lunch and the music.  I didn't get to see it as a child but I get to live it thru the joy they have seeing the actual instruments being played.

Sorry Doc if it's not Ok to link.

It's totally cool as long as you guys will let me link future performances that my son's girlfriend, the ballerina, is in. Speaking of kid friendly performances, her company (ARC Dance) did a pretty mean Nutcracker last year.

12k is enough for most and they are only a few dB down out to 16k!

Just kidding  ;)
I'm in the process to decide a new layout for my system and it happened i have a pair of 755e and new neodymium tweeters to put in use  ;D

I would expect the 755Es with tweeters to sound really good. You'll get more bass and more highs than with the 755A. Unfortunately they won't have the magic (for lack of a better word) of the standalone As. As for using the Es alone you will miss the highs. I've had several pairs of A, E and C's. The A's are in a different league. I've used them alone, with tweeters, supertweeters, subwoofers, etc. Unless you listen to big symphonic works the As do everything right in my opinion. Silver speaker wiring works wonders with them, the amount of filling in the cabinets too and, above all, placement is paramount.
